Not All Ideas are Created Equal
I was at the farm yesterday for my CSA share and I was able to pick more strawberries. WooHoo for fresh strawberries! 😀
As I was picking the berries I came across a few that were bad. Either an animal had taken a bite out them or the berries were over-ripe and starting to rot. Not too big of a deal because it’s all part of Nature’s cycle. Fruit that doesn’t nourish humans, animals, and insects is then broken down into elements that fertilize the soil and support other plants. And, when I looked, I saw those other plants had loads of berries on them!
That got me to thinking about ideas; it’s kind of the same thing with them. There are loads of ideas out there and, because you’re creative, you probably have a long list of them yourself!
But not all ideas work out great. For whatever reason and in spite of all the preparation, planning, and diligent execution, they just don’t work for you. When that happens, it’s okay to put these to the side. Sometimes it’s a matter of them evolving and events coming together in a way that enables you to manifest the ideas.
Sometimes, though, no amount of patience will help and no amount of trying will get them to work out. In that case leave these ideas to the natural course of things. Someone else may have the insights or niche skills needed to manifest them. Also, there are some ideas that are meant to be fertilizer, inspiring people to adapt different ways of thinking and to break through their limitations.
So your homework today is to not lose heart and certainly don’t lose hope if your ideas don’t work out. Sometimes they are for someone else to use and sometimes they’re meant as inspiration and motivation. And, if you look, you’ll see other ideas that are perfect for you that are ready and waiting for you to act on them!
Take the next step! You can do it!
I’m so proud of you!
