There are days and phases in your life where you can only do what you can do. And that’s good enough.

During these times, you can’t hold yourself to unrealistically high standards. That’ll only make it harder on yourself and give you one more thing to add to the things you’re already juggling.

It doesn’t matter what other people have done, whether they experienced similar things or not and whether or not their situation was “worse than” yours. Plug your ears–your external ones and your internal ones–and don’t listen to that crap!  You can only do what you can do and that’s that.

Your homework today is to give yourself a break if you’re having a bad day or in a rough patch in your life. Do the best you can, even if it’s a little lower standard than what you usually do. That’s okay. Do the best you can as you work your way through this. Keep plugging away a little bit at a time and soon you’ll work your way out of this.

You can do it—go for it!

I’m so proud of you!

Your Friend and Pep Pal,

Lauren
