Hard Choices

Note to my Daily Pep Talks Friends: My apologies for not posting for the past several days. I’ve had to travel   home to help with a family emergency. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I appreciate it very much. ~Lauren, Your Friend and Pep Pal

Sometimes we aren’t moving forward because we have to make a choice—we’re faced with a decision.  We aren’t happy because the options don’t look good or fun or easy. They look tough and hard. And, we can’t see how any of the choices will help us or get us where we want to go.

So, we hem and we haw, and we procrastinate. Or we may try something that is easier or less painful.

But none of that works.

No matter how long we delay and no matter how many painless things we try, we are still faced with that tough decision—the hard choice.

So, it’s best to just do it—get it over with. Trust that at as hard and as painful as the decision may be, the quicker you make it and get it over with, the faster you can move forward. And, with forward movement comes the opportunity for better days!

Your homework today is to take a look at the choices—the decisions—you’re avoiding. Roll your sleeves up and choose the one that seems the best, even though may look hard and painful.

Remember that you can break it into small steps, little pieces, and tiny bits. That can make tough choices more manageable and less overwhelming.

I know you’re made of tough stuff so you can do this, I’m sure of it!

I’m so proud of you for rolling up your sleeves and making the tough choice!

Your Friend and Pep Pal,
