This year’s Pi Day is special because it corresponds to four decimal places of Pi and not just the usual two. Normally, the date is 3.14, which corresponds to two decimal places of Pi. But today’s date of 3.14.15 corresponds to four decimal places of Pi (3.1415).
What were you doing at 9:26:53 this morning? That precise moment represents Pi to nine (!) decimal places (3.141592653)! It’ll come this evening, too, as long as you use the 12-hour clock convention. How totally cool is that?!
This won’t happen again until 2115!
Most of us won’t be around to see it so this is probably your once-in-a-lifetime chance to enjoy this special day!
Your homework today is to indulge in a fun food (or other fun thing) to honor this once-in-a-lifetime day.
And, since you’re having such a good time, take the next step toward your dreams! Break the step into small parts and little pieces. Break those into tiny bits, then do the bits!
You can do it!
I’m so proud of you!
Your Friend and Pep Pal,
