Yesterday I posted that it had snowed 6+ inches—and it was the first full day of spring! Even though it was a bummer to see the snow, I have to admit it was very pretty, as you can see from these pictures. It looked as if a fairy cake decorator had frosted all the trees overnight.
The temperatures warmed up a bit and the snowy wonderland changed within a short period of time, as you can see from this photo.
That got me to thinking….
Many situations can benefit by taking a moment, pausing, and letting a beat or two pass before responding. Taking that small space of time gives an opportunity for clear thinking and a cool head to prevail. It also jumpstarts creative thinking.
Your homework today is to take a moment. The next time you’re caught flat-footed, or if you’re in a difficult or emotional situation, take a breath or two.
You can do it!
I’m so proud of you!
Your Friend and Pep Pal,
