You are the perfect one to make your dreams come true;

You are the right one to make your dreams come true;

You are chosen to make your dreams come true;

You have been specially and thoughtfully crafted to make your dreams come true;

You have all the talents and gifts you need in order to make your dreams come true;

You have the innate intelligence and abilities to make your dreams come true;

You have what it takes to make your dreams come true;

You are approved to make your dreams come true;

You have permission to make your dreams come true;

You are being guided by the whisperings of your heart and soul and by the wise counsel of the Still Small Voice within;

You are in the right place at the right time doing the right thing in the right way in order to make your dreams come true;

You can make your dreams come true!

Your homework today is to get out your mirror. Change these statements to “I” statements, especially the ones that ring true for you. Then, with a big smile and with great enthusiasm, say them as you gaze at yourself in the mirror.

Jot down your favorite statements and keep them handy so you can refer to them throughout your day, as often as you need.

Let the energy of these statements propel you onward as you take steps toward your dreams, even if those steps are actually only little bits of steps. Nothing is wasted; it all adds up!

You can do it!

I’m so proud of you!

What I’ve Learned: Clean Up as You Go

As my family and I work through the crisis that we find ourselves in the midst of, I’ve found cleaning up as I go to be incredibly helpful.

Our situation is chaotic, can change in a split second, and there are many things to keep track of.

When I gave simple tasks a lick and a promise and thought I’d come back to them later, I found that I never did go back to them. Then the next simple task came along and needed doing and I gave that a lick and a promise, telling myself there were more important things to deal with. Before I knew it, the simple tasks piled up and required a chunk of time to sort out and finish. Had I dealt with them when they first needed doing, it would have taken only a few minutes.

On top of that, the simple tasks not getting done and piling up added to the chaos and increased the stress levels. Once I did the tasks in a timely manner, I created a little bit of serenity within the chaos.

Lesson learned!

Your homework today is to look at the simple tasks—the ones you give a lick and a promise to. Take the extra moment or two and fully complete them so you can totally cross them off your To Do list.

Yay you!

You can do it, I know you can!

I’m so proud of you!

A Perfect Day for Self Care

All week long we’re taking care of business whether it’s for our jobs, our friends and family, or our church or other organizations to which we belong. It isn’t unusual that our needs and what we have planned gets adjusted and pushed to the bottom of our To Do list. It also isn’t unusual that we never do make it to the bottom of that list To Do things for ourselves.

Today’s the perfect day to change that.

Your homework is to take time for yourself today. Even if you can’t carve out a chunk of time, you can at least sneak off for 15 minutes by yourself—I’ve found that the bathroom is a good “hiding place”! 😀

As you’re taking a moment for yourself, think through a typical day and note little pockets of down-time that you can take for yourself. Make it a priority to incorporate time for yourself—and only yourself!—each day.

You can do it!

I’m so proud of you!
