“Doing your best in this moment puts you in the best place in the next moment.” ~Oprah Winfrey

We all know that doing the best we can, giving everything our all, is the quickest way to achieve our goals.

We think, though, that doing our best means we must always consistently perform at incredibly high levels. But there are days where we just don’t have it. Our best is far, far below what we think it should be. Which then gets us to thinking that we don’t have what it takes….

Not true!

All we have to do is the best we can at that moment. If that happens to be performing at a high level then that’s great, and we can take a full or a big step. But it’s also great if all we have is just barely enough to get by, to take only a tiny speck of a fragment of a bit of a step.

All we have to do is do enough of our best to make it to the next tiniest bit of a step—we don’t have to make it all the way to the finish line. We just have to move a tiny increment beyond where we are right now.

Your homework is to do the best you can in each moment and take the next tiny bit of a step.

You can do it!

I’m so proud of you!

Your Friend and Pep Pal,

Lauren
