Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy. ~Dale Carnegie

Fear feeds on itself and creates more fear. It spawns doubt and indecision. That breeds lack of confidence which can lead to confusion.

The best antidote to fear and its related emotions is taking action. Whether you are sure of what you’re doing and where you’re going or if you have absolutely no clue, take action. Do something—anything.

Taking action shakes things loose, gives you a different vantage point on your dreams, and helps you see opportunities that were hidden when you allowed fear to freeze you in place.

Your homework today is to take the next step. Break it into pieces that are small enough so they are comfortably doable for you. It doesn’t matter if those little pieces are tiny, microscopic jots or if they are big strides. Whatever feels right and comfortable for you is the right size.

It doesn’t matter what anyone else does because they are not working on your dream—you are. You are the one working on your dream so it’s up to you to decide what’s comfortable and what’s doable.

Remember: stringing enough comfortable and doable jots and tidbits together will get you to your dreams!

So conquer fear by taking the next step!

You can do  it!

I’m so proud of you!

I apologize for the delay in posting this last week.  I had last minute planning to do for Dad’s memorial service that took place this past weekend.  Even though this Father’s Day message is late, it’s heartfelt and goes out to all fathers and men who are father figures.

Thank you, Dad!

Your homework today is to appreciate the men in your life who do their best to support and encourage you.

When you need it, they are there to reach out a helping hand, they point you in the right direction, and they give you a little boost to get you going.

Whether they are your biological dad or not, thank them for what they’ve done–and may be continuing to do–for you.

Thanks, Dad!

Your Friend and Pep Pal,

Lauren

If you don’t make the time to work on creating the life you want, you’re eventually going to be forced to spend a LOT of time dealing with a life you DON’T want. – Kevin Ngo

Believe it or not, it’s a simple thing to create the life you want: All you have to do is to take one step—or piece of a step—at a time. Do that long enough—consistently and persistently enough—and you WILL achieve your dreams—the life you want.

Soon, you’ll be living the life of your dreams!

Yay you!

You can do it, I know you can!

I’m so proud of you!

Don’t let anyone hold you down. Rise up against your fears, doubts, and inhibitions. Sometimes, it’s in our darkest hours that we find out what we’re really made of. Stand up, take charge, and fight for the life that you want. – Kevin Ngo

About Those Dreams of Yours….

There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it.

It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.

You do not even have to believe in yourself or your work. You have to keep yourself open and aware to the urges that motivate you. Keep the channel open. … ~As quoted in The Life and Work of Martha Graham (1991) by Agnes de Mille.

This quote is worth copying and keeping handy throughout your day. It’s a great reminder to not think about what others are saying or doing, not judge yourself and your work, and to just get busy focusing on and manifesting what your heart and soul are longing to give to the world.

It’s what you came here to do. It’s your gift to the world. It’s valuable and it does make a difference! You may never know the profound impact your gift has on someone, but that is not for you to worry about. All you need to do is to follow your dreams—give your gift—so the world can be a better place.

A Perfect Day to Smell the Roses

One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our windows today. – Dale Carnegie

Sometimes we’re so focused on taking steps and bits of steps toward our goals and dreams that we forget to pause, take in the scenery around us, and enjoy.

Remember: pausing, taking time to rest and relax, spending time with loved ones are all activities that rejuvenate you. And those are steps on your pathway to your dreams and goals. It’s easy to forget that refreshing your perspective and re-energizing yourself are steps that are just as important as completing projects and moving on to the next one.

Other People’s Limitations

We all meet people who don’t think we can do what we’ve set out to do. They don’t think we can accomplish our dreams and goals. They tell us to stop, not to try.

DON’T LISTEN TO THEM!!

The reason why they’re saying this to us is because they’re advising us based on their limitations, their anxieties, what they feel they are capable of—or not. It doesn’t have anything to do with you!

This isn’t to say these people are bad or mean. No. Not at all. They’re doing their best to support us and to help us, but they can’t and don’t see things from our point of view. They don’t hear the Still Small Voice that’s in all of us.

Listen to the whisperings and urgings of your heart and soul and follow!
