I think in terms of the day’s resolutions, not the year’s. ~Henry Moore
We’re five days into the New Year and it’s right around now that our resolve regarding our New Year’s resolutions may begin to waver. If this is true for you, perhaps today’s quote can help you stay the course.
Today’s quote is also another way of saying to go one step at a time. It’s great to know the overall goal you want to achieve because it gives you direction and lets you know where you’re headed. But sometimes focusing on the end goal can be too daunting and overwhelming. That’s when it’s best to turn your attention to the small steps and the little bits and pieces that you can do today. When you do this, your goals and resolutions become much more manageable and you’re more apt to stick with them.
Your homework today is to stick with the goals and resolutions you set at the beginning of the year. Break them into small pieces and little parts. Break those into tiny bits that you’re confident you can achieve and that are small enough to easily fit into your day. Then do them!
You can do it, I know you can!
I’m proud of you!
