Sometimes we don’t listen to the Still Small Voice within because we think it’s wrong. None of our friends are doing what the Still Small Voice is telling us to do; none of our family is doing it either. We think that maybe we heard wrong, or perhaps we’re embarrassed because what will our friends and family think if we followed our Still Small Voice?

Perhaps we’re concerned we’ll be made fun of or that those close to us will think we’re being selfish. Or perhaps we’re worried that they’ll think we’ve gotten too big for our britches or that we’ve totally flipped out.

The reason no one else seems to be doing what your Still Small Voice is telling you to do is because it isn’t their thing to do. It’s your dream, your destiny. It was tailor made for you and you were specifically crafted for it. You and your dream fit together like finely tuned gears in a high-precision machine.

The Still Small Voices of each of your friends and family are giving them guidance that’s specific to their dreams and destiny and that’s particular to each of them.

You don’t hear or understand their Still Small Voice so why should you expect that they hear and understand yours?

Your homework today is to not worry about what others are saying, doing, thinking, wanting. Focus instead on the guidance from your Still Small Voice. Trust that It loves you and wants you to be successful. Believe that It is showing you shortcuts and the easiest, straightest, quickest way to go (I know when the path is rocky it doesn’t seem that it’s the shortest way, but can you imagine if you weren’t following your Still Small Voice how many more jagged rocks there’d be?!).

Remember that you can take things at your own pace. There’s no race to be won so you can go as slow as you need to.

Remember, too, that you can break steps into bits and pieces that are teensy-tiny, if you need to.

The important thing is to keep going; keep putting one foot in front of the other!

You can do it, I know you can!

I’m so proud of you!

Your Friend and Pep Pal,

Lauren
