You have to let go of the life you have planned so as to accept the one that is waiting for us. ~Joseph Campbell
How many times do we hang onto a course of action—repeating it over and over—each time convinced that this time we’ll get the answer and yet we’re surprised to find a dead end waiting for us, even though it’s been there every single time we’ve tried the exact same thing
We don’t realize that it’s in letting go, in being open to possibilities, suspending judgement and silencing the “that won’t work!” inner critic—in short, taking our curiosity out of the mothballs it’stored—that our vision clears and we see the answer that was in front o the whole time

Your homework today is to take a moment to quiet down—calm your mind and spirit. Gently and without judgement or attaching meaning to things, look at the tasks and projects that fill your days. Are there better ways of doing them? Look behind them, around them (above and below). What’s lurking there waiting for you, perhaps trying to play peek-a-boo with you
Do you see anything interesting?
If so, have a go at it. Tell yourself it’s just for fun. Break it into small pieces and then—just for giggles—do a little piece of it.
How does that feel—was it fun, interesting, intriguing, captivating?
This is all good stuff! See where it leads—afterall, you can always go back to the old way of doing things. First, though, give this new way a chance to show you what it has for you.
You can do it!
I’m proud of you!
