Today my intent is to take silence with me throughout the day.
I’m keeping mindful of not getting sucked into the rush and hubbub of every day life. And, I’m being aware of the types of conversations that have a tendency to suck me into their drama.
It’s so easy to become frazzled like many others swirling around in their day-to-day lives. And without thinking it’s a snap to join in conversations of doom and gloom or to jump in with the gossips.
The more I practice silence the easier it is to remain calm in the midst of the demands of the world.
It’s such a relief to feel this calmness. It’s soothing. It’s also filled with hope because within the stillness, silence, and calmness is created a space where I can think about what’s going on around me and see that things aren’t as bad and hopeless as others want us to believe. Also, in that space, I have time to choose either to get involved or to move on from what’s going on around me.
Have you taken silence with you in your day? If so, let me know what your experiences have been. Jot a note in the comments below!
Please pass this along to a friend. Thanks!
Your Friend and Pep Pal,
Lauren
