Don’t worry about being worried. You’re heading out on an adventure and you can always change your mind along the way and try something else. ~Tracy Kidder
Last night I was talking with a friend and she was telling me that she’s getting a little worried about the start she’s making on the changes she wants to make in 2017. She hasn’t made a start yet because it seems that little things she didn’t anticipate have come up to sidetrack her. She’s nervous about getting totally derailed.
We talked for a while, brainstorming to come up with a few strategies. She’s decided to trust in baby steps, like we talked about in yesterday’s post. And, even though she has a number of goals and resolutions, she’s decided to choose only ONE area where she’ll focus for right now.
If you, too, are finding that other things are getting in the way of your best laid plans for this year, then do what my friend has done. Choose only ONE area where you’ll take baby steps for right now and don’t worry about the other areas. You’ll get to them in time. Give yourself a chance to get used to only one change before tackling others.
Remember: one area of focus and one baby step at a time!
You can do it!
Your Friend and Pep Pal,
Lauren
