Never say, “It is nobody’s business but my own what I do with my life.” It is not true. Your life is put into your bands as a trust, for many others besides yourself. If you use it well, it will make many others happy; if you abuse it, you will harm many others besides yourself.
~James M. Pullman
I never thought of my life in this way. I’ve known that I have much more to offer when I reach out a helping hand if I’m doing so from a place of peace, joy, and abundance; in short, when I have my own life together. I never thought of it, though, that I could actually be harming—at least, not helping—others by half-heartedly living my life.
Does this quote resonate with you in the same way?
It’s a thought that can fuel our motivation and resolve to press onward when the going gets tough—or if we just don’t feel like it and would rather goof off instead.
