Some people are like clouds. When they go away, it’s a brighter day. ~Anonymous
I had to share this quote with you because it really hit home with me. I have found this to be soooooo true!
Even though it might feel awkward at first as you gradually reduce the time you spend with toxic people, you’ll quickly see the benefits. Here are a few:
~Your mood will be lighter because you’ll no longer have their negative energy to overcome;
~You’ll feel better about yourself because you won’t have to hide parts of yourself or twist yourself into a pretzel so as not to upset the toxic people;
~You’ll find that it’s easier and safer to be yourself because you won’t be worried about what the toxic people will think and say.
Here is another very important benefit to getting rid of toxic people:
~When you move out the toxic people, it opens up plenty of room for nicer people and like-minded people to come into your life.
When you decide to get rid of the toxic people, you don’t have to make a big announcement and you certainly shouldn’t tell them about it. Just go about your daily life, adding in the new activities where you can meet and get to know nice people. As you get busier with the nice people, you won’t have time for the toxic people.
Then, like me, you’ll wonder why you didn’t get rid of the toxic people sooner!
Give it a try! Let me know how it works out for you. Thanks!
