Raw Materials

Each of us has what it takes to achieve our dreams.  ~Millions of People

I’ve heard that said a million times by a million different people, it seems, but I didn’t always believe it.

The other night, I watched the movie The Shift starring Wayne Dyer and he stated that very thing, that each of us has within us the raw materials we need to achieve our dreams.  He explained his reasoning and it made sense to me.

He said that before we were born and while we were still forming and developing, we had everything we needed.  All of the know-how was packed within each of our cells.  Each cell knew what it was supposed to be and it knew how to go about being that thing.

Dr. Dyer said that if we had the know-how then, why would we no longer have it now?  How could it have left us—what happened to make it disappear?

I thought this was a very interesting concept and I’m continuing to turn it over in my mind.  This means that we don’t have to become something or someone that we aren’t.  Naturally, we’ll have to grow and develop and refine ourselves, just like we did when we were fetuses, but the raw materials are there.  We have all we need to achieve OUR dreams.

The thought just occurred to me:  If we’re having trouble achieving our dreams, perhaps it’s because they are someone else’s dreams and, as a result, we don’t have the raw materials needed to achieve them!

Another thought throw into the mix!

What do you think about this?  Let me know in the comments below.  Thanks!

Please pass this post along to a friend.  Thanks!

  1. Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Julie.

I, too, love the idea that we already have all the raw materials needed to make our dreams come true. Of course, we’ll have to roll up our sleeves and apply some elbow grease, but it’s all there for us. Whoopee! It’s a comfort and a great relief to realize this!

    Thanks again for sharing, Julie!
