Walk the Talk: Do the Work!

Yes, we all have obligations and responsibilities. We have bosses to please, projects at work to complete, kids to raise, a spouse or partner to stay connected with, a home or apartment to maintain, pets to care for, church and community missions, and the like.

We also have to remember that this is our life to live–our only one. We weren’t given life so that we can give it all away to others and have nothing left for ourselves. I believe each of us was put here in this time and in this place (where ever in the world that may be) for a specific reason. And we each know this reason–we hear it in the whisperings of our heart, the urgings of our soul, and in the guidance of the Still Small Voice.

Do the work!

Follow your dreams and that thing that’s way bigger than you.

If we don’t do the work we were meant to do, then the world is not as luminous or as friendly as it could be. All of us have something of value to add to the world and it’s our job, our responsibility, to do it.

Of course take care of your family and be a good friend. Of course do your very best at your work and do what you can within your neighborhood and community to make the world a better place. But also live your life–work toward your destiny and craft your soul-prospering life.

Do the work!

You can do this, I’m sure you can. I believe in you!

Your Friend and Pep Pal,

Lauren
