30 Days of Gratitude to Finish 2020: Day 17

My 3 gratitudes for today are;

  • With 10+ inches of snow overnight—and more still coming down—I am grateful I can work from home today (I send thoughts of safety and protection to those who must go out to work outside their homes today);
  • Very grateful that loved ones, family, and friends are all okay in this storm;
  • I’m very grateful to know that neighbors are at the ready to help a beloved family member as needed since I am snowed in today and can’t get there.  Thank you!!!
  • Bonus gratitude:  I’ve said this before but once again I am very grateful for all the people who stand ready to jump in and help, whether they know you or not and whether they’ll ever see you again or not.  They don’t expect anything in turn.  They help because they can.  Thank you so very much.  I am so very grateful.  Thank you.

Please share your 3 gratitudes in the comments below.  I love to hear/read them!  Thank you!

Lauren

  1. —I’m grateful for singing songs of cheer and peace with friends on Zoom, for the healing power of music to bring us together.
    — I’m grateful for the network of kindness and caring that connects us all, from small acts and gestures like smiles from the grocery checkout person, to big ones, like helping someone move or listening to them when they are having a troubled time.
    — I’m grateful for those who teach and guide us to be our best selves, including you, Lauren. This gratefulness practice is simple yet profound, and you are leading us magnificently.

    1. Hi Julie,
      Thank you for sharing your gratitudes. I love your phrase “network of kindness”. I believe that is true–that there are far more kind, generous, and helpful people in the world than there are greedy, mean, and cranky people. Thank goodness for that!
      Thank you, too, for your kind words regarding the gratitude practice. I’m very glad you are finding it helpful.
