30 Days of Gratitude to Finish 2020: Day 21

Happy Solstice!  Happy Grand Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter!  So cool to have two big celestial events happening on the same day!

My 3 gratitudes are:

  • Winter Solstice means that the days will now begin getting longer—yay!
  • The clouds breaking up or thinning enough to see the Grand Conjunction;
  • Seeing the Grand Conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter.  It’s been 800 years since the Grand Conjunction happened at night and it’s been 400 years since the planets have been this close to Earth.  Another rarity is that the last time the conjunction happened on the winter solstice was in 860 BCE and it won’t happen again until 2159 CE (Astronomy Stack Exchange)  Holy moly!

An amazing day for gratitudes!  Please share yours in the comments below.  Also, if you know of a friend or loved one who would enjoy these posts, please feel free to forward them.  Thank you!

Your Friend and Pep Pal,

Lauren
